Pentecost- Odorkor area donates to Students

The Odorkor Area of The Church of Pentecost has donated some food items to some students of the Pentecost University College (PUC) who are presently on campus.

Following the suspension of lectures by the University, the students, mostly foreign nationals, were unable to return to their families due to movement and travel restrictions put in place by the Government to contain the spread of the deadly Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The items donated include bags of rice, cooking oil and gari.

At a presentation ceremony held at the campus of the college at Sowutuom on Thursday, April 16, 2020, the Area Head of Odorkor, Apostle Patrick Aseyoro, said they were touched when they got information that there were some students on campus, particularly, international students who required some help.

He said, immediately they got the information they mobilised some resources to assist the students.

He urged the students to make the best out of this challenging time and consider this as an opportunity to get closer to God.

The Rector of the University, Apostle Dr Daniel Walker said he was impressed by the swiftness with which the Area came to the aid of the students when he approached them for assistance.

He advised the students to respect the lockdown directives by the government and observe safety protocols.

On behalf of the management of the college, the Rector also presented some items including milk, tinned fish, eggs, toilet roll and sachet water to the students.

The Public Relations Officer of the college, Dr Daniel Nkrumah on behalf of PUC and the students expressed appreciation to the Odorkor Area, and said the donation was timely and would help address the nutritional needs of the students during the lockdown period.
