Assemblyman accuses Obour of ordering assault on him
Asante Akyem District Mr. Bismark Ampomah Wiredu is accusing Bice Osei Kuffour aka Obour for organizing his thugs to beat him.
Narrating his ordeal on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, the assemblyman alleged that the aspirant was organizing a meeting with some party delegates in violation of the social distancing rule and ban on all social gatherings and he ordered it to stop.
He told host Kwabena Agyapong that he gathered that the former Musicians Union president was organizing the meeting with some over 35 delegates and 25 campaign team members present.
He disclosed only a handful of the persons present at the meeting were in facemasks.
He said he had gone there to ask them to halt the meeting because it was against the ban on social gatherings. However, he was allegedly assaulted.
He described the parliamentary candidate hopeful as a violent person who does not deserve to be elected to represent the party.
‘’When I saw the entourage of Obour and his followers and the delegates, I was surprised and disappointed. At a point, I asked myself whether the ban on social gatherings had been lifted. The followers did not observe any social distancing rule. I later called the MCE to report and he asked me to take some videos and photos as evidence. I later followed up to a Roman Catholic Church where the meeting was being held. I spoke to our party coordinator and told him the meeting was in violation of the ban on gatherings but I was rather assaulted by some thugs present,’’ he stated.
Efforts to reach Obour to react the story have proved futile.
