COVID-19: More treated patients will soon be discharged – Dr. Nsiah- Asare.

Former Director-General of the Ghana Health Service and the presidential Advisor on Health, Dr. Nsiah-Asare has disclosed that more COVID-19 patients have been treated and will soon be discharged.

Though, unable to give the actual number of patients, he explained that the majority of patients at the various isolation centers have tested negative after treatment and that they are waiting for the second results of their test.

But he says the number of people who have tested negative far outnumber the number of people who have been put out.

Speaking on Okay FM’s ‘Ade Akye Abia’ program, he noted that the government will not be overwhelmed by the rising numbers of persons infected with the virus because adequate measures have been put in place to handle such cases.

Though the government is working to ensure that the Coronavirus fight is completely over, Ghanaians should constantly observe the safety protocols put in place because some may not be lucky to survive if they are infected with the virus.

He added that the government appreciates the efforts of all institutions who are helping in the fight against COVID-19 but should also endeavor to assist the government in whatever way necessary to ensure the safety protocols are observed.
