Just In: Joy FM Fires Naa Ashorkor Doku Mensah

Radio and television personality Naa Ashorkor Doku Mensah has been handed her dismissal letter from the Multimedia Group Limited. 

Reason for her contract termination, however, isn’t yet known. 

According to Naa Ashorkor, she received the letter informing her of her dismissal on Tuesday, 5th May, 2020. 

In a social media post, the host of Showbiz A-Z on Joy 99.7 FM, intimated that it is not easy for her to lose her job and regular income is these extraordinary days. 

She said, ‘I have got Good news and bad news everyone! With immediate effect as of yesterday, my now former employers, Multimedia Group, terminated my appointment. That’s the bad news. Now for the good news, such situations only give my God the opportunity to show up.”

Naa Ashorkor added that “It’s not an easy time to be out of a regular and steady income. We are not in normal times, but hey, I would like to use this opportunity to encourage everyone who has lost their job or income during these difficult times to not lose hope.Hope is an amazing thing that gives us the ability to stand and trust God in such difficult circumstances. Don’t lose hope.Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the plans. I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.‘Stay tuned for some more news soon.’”

Until her contract termination, Naa Ashorkor was the host of Sassy and Showbiz A-Z on Joy 99.7FM.

Naa Ashorkor also known as Nisirine Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku, joined Multimedia Group, Joy FM in 2017 before that she had stints with the EIB Network where she worked as a host on GHOne TV and Starr FM.
