Ghana has recorded 173 new cases in the last 24 hours taking the total COVID-19 case count of the country to 6,269.
According to the Ghana Health Service’s latest update on the country’s COVID-19 situation, 125 more people also recovered taking the recovery tally to 1,898 and deaths still remaining at 31.
The new data means that of the total cases announced the West African country’s recovery rate currently stands 30.28% of the positive cases announced.
The country’s mortality rate also stands at 0.49% of the total cases so far.
According to the Ghana Health Service, the increase is as a result of new cases identified in the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Western and Central regions.
The Greater Accra Region is still leading the regional chart with 4,582 cases, followed by the Ashanti and Central Regions with 921 and 285 cases respectively
So far a total of 187,000 tests have been administered and the active cases also stand at 4,340
