Ghana’s coronavirus death toll has increased to 31 according to the new updates released by the Ghana Health Service.
The death toll increased by two from the compared to the last update of 29 while the total case count also increased by 183 more taking the total positive cases to 5,918.
The Ghana Health Service(GHS) had earlier revealed that 91% of deaths were due to co-morbid cases. This meant that only 2 people who passed away did not have other underlying health conditions.
The case fatality rate of Ghana also stood at 0.43%. According to the health ministry the Case fatality rate of Ghana is among the best globally due to the quality care and how early people report for treatment.
However, the situation seems to be changing and at the moment, count of cases per Region is stated below
